About
As a designer I’ve always made use of the environment around me. I approach design similar to the way an architect approaches a structure: who will be using it, for what, what it will be made of, where it is located, and how all of that informs the design. Though the process is not always a linear one, form and function are always in balance.
My career, like me, got its beginnings in New York City. This is where I have thrived, and where I have survived in the belly of this beast. This city is what inspired me to create my own line of snowboard apparel, finding inspiration from the functional necessity of an urban environment and translating that into protective, performance clothing for the extreme elements of a mountain and all it has to offer. Since then, I’ve never let functional apparel too far out of my gaze, for it is where my creativity finds purpose in making the beautiful useful, and the useful beautiful.
